James Argent eliminated from The Jump

James ‘Arg’ Argent has been eliminated from ‘The Jump’.

The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star has become the latest star to leave the competition after recording the lowest air jump and failing to impress during the earlier gruelling snow cross challenge.

During the air jump eliminator, Arg recorded a height of just 8.06m, considerably lower than Brian McFadden’s 9.41, Sid Owen’s 9.04 and Mark-Francis Vandelli’s 9.09.

However, only the reality TV star and former Westlife singer Brian jumped live, as their fellow competitors’ pre-recorded leaps were taken into account as both men were injured during the Snow Cross.

The former ‘EastEnders’ actor had ripped quads and the ‘Made in Chelsea’ star suffered a sprain.

The show has been hit by a string of injuries in the last few days, with Linford Christie unable to take part in tonight’s (07.02.16) event after pulling his hamstring.

This evening saw The Wanted’s Tom Parker compete for the first time as replacement for Tina Hobley, who withdrew after injuring her arm in training.

Rebecca Adlington is also out of the competition after dislocating her shoulder last week, with 2015 contestant Heather Mills returning to take her place.

Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle is in hospital having an operation on her back after falling in training, but her replacement has not been announced yet.

However, former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Gemma Merna is the official reserve.
