Jake Quickenden may not be able to perform on ‘Dancing on Ice’ this week.
The 29-year-old TV hunk has found himself at the top of the leader board every week since the skating show hit screens last month, but he may be forced to miss this weekend’s live show because his partner Vanessa Bauer has a sickness bug.
An insider told The Sun Online: "Vanessa has been diagnosed with norovirus after being taken ill this week. The couple had planned on tackling the head banger this week but that’s now in jeopardy as they may not have enough time to train.
"Jake may even have to perform with a reserve partner or be given a free pass to next week’s show if the pair are unable to compete."
Jake took to his Instagram account yesterday (13.02.18) to express his concern after he was banned from coming into contact with Vanessa for 72 hours.
He wrote: "So we hit a road block at training as Vanessa has got the flu and I can’t come into contact with her for 72 hours.
"So we have’t got a routine, so I don’t know what I am going to do. Vanessa always comes up with the fire routines and now she is poorly and she has got flu and I dunno… do you reckon I should try and do it. (sic)"
It comes just days after it was reported that Kem Cetinay and Alex Beresford – who are both competing on the show – had been struck down with the cold and flu virus.
