Jake Quickenden wants to go on ‘Love Island’.
The 29-year-old singer – who recently split from fiancée Danielle Fogarty – is close friends with last year’s winner Kem Cetinay and a big fan of the programme, so admitted he’d be "tempted" to go on the show if they brought back a celebrity version.
He said: "I’m a huge fan of ‘Love Island’. I was addicted last year, watching it every night and I’m now best mates with Kem Cetinay, who won that series.
"There are some good characters on the show this year.
"People have asked me whether I’d ever go on it – I’ve done ‘The X Factor’, ‘I’m A Celeb!’ and I’ve just won ‘Dancing On Ice’ so I could try it.
"If they brought back ‘Celebrity Love Island’ next year, I’d be tempted to go on it."
However, Jake admitted he’d be "nervous" about the show because he doesn’t always enjoy going on dates.
He said: "I’d just be my normal self and wouldn’t want to be anything else. I’d be nervous though – I’m not great on dates and I’m a bit goofy, so I don’t know how successful I’d be.
"I’d probably be more nervous about ‘Love Island’ than I was for ‘Dancing On Ice’."
If he does go on the show, Jake – who is currently performing with stripping troupe The Dreamboys – wouldn’t hesitate to take his top off in front of the other contestants.
Writing a guest column for Closer magazine, he added: "Performing in Dreamboys is so much fun. I don’t get nervous getting my kit off at all.
"My Instagram is full of half-naked pictures of me anyway.
"It’s a real laugh with the lads – tiring, but great."
