Jake Quickenden has returned to the recording studio following his split from Danielle Fogarty.
The 29-year-old singer recently announced that he and Danielle have decided to take some time apart and since then, he’s returned to his musical roots, concentrating his attention on recording new songs after ending his engagement.
Jake told The Sun Online: "I think people forget that I am a singer, so it will be nice to get some music out.
"I am in the studio at the minute writing music again. I always end up going back to acoustic stuff, like Ed Sheeran."
The dark-haired hunk – who first found fame on ‘The X Factor’ and started dating Danielle after appearing on ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2014 – revealed he hopes to release some of his debut music before the end of the year.
He shared: "I want to have music out before Christmas."
However, Jake has insisted he won’t be releasing a collaboration with his showbiz pal Kem Cetinay, who he bonded with while appearing on ITV’s ‘Dancing On Ice’.
He quipped: "I don’t think my rapping is up to Kem’s standard!"
Earlier this month, Jake suggested he could still reunite with Danielle one day.
Despite their split, the TV star said he remains close to Danielle, adding that they still speak regularly.
He explained: "Obviously we like to remain private but right now we’re having a bit of time apart, dealing with ourselves and work and being busy.
"I’ve so much respect for Dan and her family but for me, it’s about taking time out and seeing what happens."
