Jake Quickenden and Kem Cetinay have been involved in a minor car accident.
Dancing on Ice’s presenter Phillip Schofield has revealed that the ‘X Factor’ star and the ‘Love Island’ hunk – who are both competing on the skating show – had issues with the snow this morning (01.03.18) while trying to get to training for the programme.
Phillip said: "We’ve got a text from our boss this morning and she said: ‘Snow is causing havoc with training for the celebs this morning.’
"Jake and Kem both had minor car accidents on the way to training. They were in separate cars. Jake had to abandon his car but both are fine."
Jake, 29, took to his Twitter account after the incident to warn his fans to be careful.
He wrote: "Be careful if you’re out in the snow, had a nightmare morning, skidded going life 5mph and bumped another car that was broken down, everyone ok, but the roads are tragic so please be careful!! (sic)"
And they’re not the only ones struggling with the weather as their fellow competitor Brooke Vincent – who is the only girl to make the semi final – has been slipping too.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ today, she said: "I’ve been slipping and not on the ice. I walked to my car the other day and had a bit of a trip."
The ‘Coronation Street’ star has been working extra hard this week as the forthcoming show is set to be a hard one as she’s got to skate for 30 seconds by herself.
She said: "We’ve got two routines this week so we’ve had a busy week this week … We also have the 30 second challenge as well so it’s basically we do a dance together and then I do 30 seconds on my own. I’ve tripped twice this week but I’m getting up quicker."
And, although she’d love to win, she already feels really proud of herself because she’s come such a long way since she told people that she’d signed up to the programme.
She explained: "I think, for me, when I first said I was going to go on ‘Dancing on Ice’, a lot of people said: ‘Oh you’ll be great.’ And then I wasn’t really great, I was awful. And no one had the guts to tell me. I was awful, I was really behind."
