Jacob Roberts and Adam Woodward miss play fighting on Hollyoaks set

Jacob Roberts and Adam Woodward missing "wrestling" on the ‘Hollyoaks’ set.

The two actors – who play Damon Kinsella and Brody Hudson respectively on the Channel 4 soap – had a video chat catch up for the programme’s Instagram page while filming is still suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the pals admitted they can’t wait to be play fighting again.

Jacob said: "I really wanna wrestle with you. I wanna wrestle. You know, like we used to?

"but that’ll be a while before I can have you in a headlock and stuff like that.

"We’re not gonna be able to even, like, poke each other or anything… Right, no, sorry. That sounded a bit weird."

Adam laughed at his friend’s accidental innuendo, and joked while he was missing the on-set banter he didn’t want things to go further.

He quipped: "Listen, I don’t want you to poke me when we go back to work, OK?"

Both soap stars opened up about their life in lockdown, and revealed what they are missing the most about every day life.

Jacob told his fellow cast mate: "I’ve not really been drinking at all while in lockdown. I wanna go and have a beer with the lads, stuff like that.

"I wanna see my mates and take the mick out of each other. That’s what I’m waiting for!"

Adam agreed with his pal, and he’s excited to be able to be sociable again – and get back to work.

He added: "While we’re in lockdown I haven’t really been drinking too much. I’ve been exercising daily to keep my mind busy. Started playing guitar again, which is cool.

"I just miss my friends. I miss you guys at work, obviously. I’m just missing normal life i suppose.

"But it’s going to be interesting when everything gets released a little bit, to see how people interact with each other."
