Jack Whitehall to present football-based comedy series

Jack Whitehall is to present a new football comedy series.
The ‘Bad Education’ star will front YouTube show ‘Jack Whitehall: Training Days’, which will see the comedian take several top-class pros, such as England’s Raheem Sterling, Kyle Walker and Dele Alli, and Spanish star Cesc Fabregas, out of their comfort zones.
He said: "One of the great things about comedy is getting out of your comfort zone, so I certainly made it my job to get these football stars out of theirs.
"It’s been great working with them on ‘Training Days’ and showing fans a different side to them.
"Filming this series has been a great warm-up to the World Cup and I hope you enjoy watching as much as I did making it."
The series will launch on May 9th and see Jack take Spurs star Alli to a haunted house, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho on a disastrous driving lesson, and he will turn Real Madrid’s Welsh forward Gareth Bale into a waxwork.
Several big YouTube creators, including Joe Sugg, Manny, Joe Wicks and The F2 Freestylers, will also be involved in the video-sharing site’s original programme, which has been developed with Fulwell73, the team behind ‘Carpool Karaoke: The Series’ and football documentary ‘The Class of 92’.
Gabe Turner, of Fulwell73, said: "It’s a real privilege to be working with YouTube on ‘Jack Whitehall: Training Days’.
"The concept for the show lends itself well to bringing out a different side to our superstars and feels like a perfect fit with YouTube’s audience.
"It’s an opportunity to spend time with some of the biggest names in world football and create some truly memorable moments."
The series – which will air on Jack’s YouTube channel – will also feature German international footballers Mario Götze and Thomas Muller, Colombian striker Radamel Falcao, and South Korean hot-shot Son Heung-min.
