Jack Whitehall is to front a new travel show.
The ‘Bad Education’ star has signed up to host the pilot of ‘Pack Your Bags’, which will see the comedian join families as they head off on their summer holidays, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports.
Filming for the pilot is expected to take place in June.
An advertisement looking for people to take part reads: "Are you off on a quirky holiday? Making plans for an exciting break away to do something unusual? Do you fancy adding a bit of extra fun to your holiday plans by having a top comedian join you?
"We’re on the hunt for fun couples or groups who are planning an adventure that’s a little more out of the ordinary. Instead of heading on your holiday as normal, why not have someone else bring the comedy relief and join you along the way. Get in touch and tell us all about your holiday plans!"
Jack has had experience with travel shows before, having fronted ‘Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father’, where he was joined by his dad Michael as they toured Asia.
Speaking on the show’s popularity, he said previously: "What I think is fun about watching the show, and the reason I hope people enjoy it, is even if you’re from a very different background or from somewhere else in the world, there is a lot we can all relate to when it comes to the relationship with a parent. Being embarrassed by them, or not wanting them to do certain things whenever they are abroad and around total strangers. All of these, I think, are things everyone can recognize in their own relationship with their parents.
"He is a huge influence on me, not only on my sense of humour, but also in terms of giving me career advice. He’s reached that age in his life where there’s no filter anymore and he doesn’t give a s**t what anyone thinks. That can be quite useful when you want unbiased advice."
