Jack P. Shepherd plots Coronation Street affair storyline

Jack P. Shepherd and Julia Goulding have concocted a ‘Coronation Street’ storyline whereby their characters David Platt and Shona Ramsey have affairs with Leanne Battersby and Ali Neeson.
The ‘Corrie’ pair have been busy working on the potential plot, in which David will start sleeping with Leanne – who is played by Jane Danson – before becoming depressed, so he heads to see dishy doctor Ali (James Burrows) to be prescribed anti-depressants, but is unaware the medic is doing the dirty on him.
He said: "I want David to have an affair with Leanne. Me and Julia have come up with an idea where David is having an affair with Leanne, and Shona is secretly sleeping with Ali the doctor.
"Then David – who can’t confide in Billy, because he’s Shona’s pal – goes to Ali to get anti-depressants and pours his heart out, but he doesn’t realise Ali is sleeping with Shona.
"And Ali can’t tell her because he’s a doctor and it’s confidential."
Despite coming up with such a complex plot, Jack has also admitted he would love David and Shona to marry one day – but only if they had a big bash rather than a small nuptials at the Bistro.
He added to Inside Soap magazine’s Yearbook 2019: "I don’t want any of this Bistro wedding nonsense. Everyone’s done it. If we do it, I want it to be a proper church, and then a big do at a stately home."
And Jack and Julia’s storyline idea could well make it onto the soap as she admitted just a few weeks ago that there is a "dramatic" plot on the way for Shona.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "There are some really good stories coming up for Shona, and obviously I can’t tell you much about them.
"But it’s been nice to have some light relief since the rape storyline, so I’m really looking forward to getting back into the nitty gritty drama. It’s nice to be able to do both.
"I’d like to see her go off the rails again. From what she came in as I’ve been allowed to explore so many different colours to her personality.
"I’d be excited to get a bit bad again."
