Jack Maynard to take part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

Jack Maynard is set to star on ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
The YouTube star – who is the younger brother of singer Conor Maynard – will take part in the Channel 4 show with a host of other celebrities, which will see them try and complete the rigorous SAS selection process replicated by host Ant Middleton and his fellow Special Forces veterans.
Jack will be joined by the likes of Joey Essex, Tony Bellew, and John Fashanu on the show, which will test their mental and physical strength and push them to their limits.
For the 25-year-old internet star, the show comes after he previously signed up to take part in ITV reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2017, but was removed from the jungle after just two days, when historic offensive tweets he had made were uncovered.
The tweets involved several offensive slurs, and after leaving the Australian jungle, Jack publicly apologised for the comments he made when he was "young, naive, and stupid".
He said at the time: "My immaturity meant that I didn’t stop for a second to think whether these comments would hurt or harm anyone – something I have learnt is entirely wrong.
"If I had just thought for a moment, about how stupid they were, I would never have sent them. Nothing can justify the language I used, there is no defence – I am truly sorry. My childish attitude back then is not a representation of my thoughts and feelings now.
"I take full responsibility and regret my mistakes. As an adult, I understand the effect my words have on people, whether I have a big or small platform to speak from."
‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ will no doubt test the YouTube star, as last year’s series saw ‘Loose Women’ star Andrea McLean quit with hypothermia, whilst TV host AJ Odudu collapsed carrying 45kg uphill.
