ITV planning new talent show hosted by Bradley Walsh

ITV are reportedly planning a new talent competition with Bradley Walsh as the host.
Bosses at the broadcaster are reportedly putting together a talent show that will see exceptionally bad singers battle it out against one another as they fight to improve their vocal abilities with the help of vocal coaches and training. The one contestant who improves the most over the course of the programme will then be crowned winner.
The show, which is as yet unnamed, is also reportedly eyeing 56-year-old television presenter Bradley Walsh to front the production.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It has always been the bad auditions that get everyone talking on ‘X Factor’ each year.
"And another thing people love to watch on TV is people undergoing huge transformations — like on Davina McCall’s show ‘This Time Next Year’.
"Now ITV will combine these two things as they launch a new show which sees awful singers transform into superstar performers — or that’s what they’re hoping.
"It’s sure to be a great laugh but also heart-warming to see some amazing transformations."
And if Bradley does host the show, he’ll know all about what it takes to be a successful musician as his debut LP ‘Chasing Dreams’ managed to outsell the debut solo effort ‘Mind of Mine’ from former One Direction star Zayn Malik last year.
‘The Chase’ presenter has even inked a new deal with Sony Music CMG which could see him release two more records and hit the the road for a UK tour.
An insider said: "Bradley’s album surpassed all expectations and he’s now a key focus for the label in 2017.
"Sony have signed him up for another album and don’t want to waste any time getting it out, as well as putting him on stages around the UK.
"He has proven there is an enormous market for his swing covers and they intend to capitalise on it.
"Discussions have even taken place about a third album at some point too.
"They know what works and he is already picking out songs for the second record and arranging studio time."
As of the time of writing, no further details are known about the ITV talent competition.
