Inbetweeners to get adult reunion?

The Inbetweeners’ Joe Thomas would "jump at the chance" to do an adult reunion.
The 33-year-old actor would love to work with Simon Bird, James Buckley and Blake Harrison – who played Will McKenzie, Jay Cartwright and Neil Sutherland respectively in the sitcom – again in the near future but thinks they’re all too old to portray the foursome in sixth form college and it would need to be based 10 years’ down the line if they were ever to rejoin forces and create another series of the comedy.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: "I think that we are definitely too old now to do anything that is set in a sixth form.
"If it’s the case that you want to do a show about some sixth formers then obviously we can’t be involved in that, with the best will in the world. But we could do the originals ten years down the line, married with kids. I mean, we can do that now. I would jump at any chance to work with those guys again — in any context, really."
And it looks like fans could be in for a treat sooner than they had expected as Joe – who played unlucky-in-love Simon Cooper – has admitted there have been discussions between the cast and the producers but nothing has been written yet.
He explained: "It’s not in my hands but I love those guys and I would love to work with them again. We have spoken about it but it’s not really in our hands. We don’t write the show so it’s not down to us."
The hilarious foursome turned their backs on Rudge Park Comprehensive in 2014 after three TV series and two hit films but Joe still sees his co-stars from time-to-time.
Joe – who is currently working with James on a new comedy called ‘White Gold’ – said: "I do miss the show but we do get to see each other quite a lot anyway.
"But I suppose I do miss it. It’s been great to work with James again — he’s a really good friend. Of course his penis was in White Gold, too. His penis has been in other stuff as well — I’m honestly bored of seeing it."
