Imran Adams says the upcoming ‘Hollyoaks’ stunt is "explosive, emotional" and feels like watching a movie.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ star’s character Mitchell Deveraux will be heavily involved in the annual dramatic scenes, and says viewers will "see themselves" in one of the characters affected by the events whether they are "in the LGBTQ+ community or not".
Speaking at the Inside Soap Awards at Sway Bar in central London on Monday night (07.10.19), he exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "The stunt has been filmed, it’s done. I’m very much involved in it. It’s an episode that ‘Hollyoaks’ has never done before.
"It’s very cinematic, it’s like a movie. At the end of this month get ready.
"It’s explosive, it’s emotional, and I feel like whether you’re part of the LGBT community or not you’re going to see yourself in one or all of the characters.
"It’s a rollercoaster ride and I hope everyone is going to jump on board."
The stunt will take place later this month, with one character confirmed to be "leaving the show" because of the events.
Imran’s latest hard-hitting storyline has seen his character’s true feelings come out when he is around Scott Drinkwell’s (Ross Adams) drag alter-ego Anita Tinkle, despite him being in a relationship with Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin).
The actor joined the Channel 4 soap in February 2019, and he feels part of the ‘Hollyoaks’ furniture now thanks to Ross and Nadine.
He said: "He’s such a good laugh and so talented and down to earth. Him and Nadine have both welcomed me with open arms and I feel like I’m finally a part of ‘Hollyoaks’ now."
