Iman’s anniversary tribute to David Bowie

Iman has paid tribute to David Bowie on their 24th wedding anniversary.
The 60-year-old model took to Instagram to share a picture of her with her late husband – who died in January following a secret cancer battle – and captioned it "June 6th…., 24th wedding anniversary #foreverlove (sic)."
The picture also had the words "The best thing about me is you" written on it.
Iman and David – who was 69 when he died – married in 1992 and have a 15-year-old daughter Alexandria, known as Lexi, together and the model previously revealed the secret to their long-lasting marriage.
She said: "We both understand the difference between the person and the persona. When we are home, we are just Iman and David. We’re not anybody else.
"I think the secret to a lasting marriage is timing, first of all. You have to be at the right time in your life that you’re ready for an everlasting relationship, that it becomes first, and a priority in life.
"If your career is important to you, don’t get married and have children, because something will give.
"I know as women we want to be able to have it all, but we can’t have it all at the same time. So make your priority of what you want at that time. And sometimes you don’t even have to get married. Why do you have to get married?"
It has been a difficult year for Iman as just two months after David’s death, her mother Marian Abdulmajid also passed away.
Iman took to Twitter after the death and wrote: "May Allah grant her the highest jannah."
Speaking previously about her mother, Iman said: "My mother was an activist, so was my father. They came from a generation of young Somalis who were actively involved in getting independence for Somalia in 1960.
"So I remember when I was five how busy our house was. People would come in the middle of the night, meetings after meetings, and protests and all that. I grew up in the midst of all of that. And she instilled that in me. The fact that nobody can take your self-worth unless you give your consent.
"She always said to me that there is nothing that the boys can do – because I had two brothers – that you can’t do, if not better."
