‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ will hit television screens on November 19.
The future of the creepy-crawly show was said to be up in the air after host Ant McPartlin was admitted to rehab over the summer for an addiction to prescription pills, but fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as ITV have confirmed the new series will kick off in two weeks’ time – 14 days later than the usual date – and the 41-year-old presenter will be back in the jungle with his co-host Dec Donnelly.
Bosses are remaining tight-lipped on the line-up for the forthcoming instalment but it’s believed Gemma Collins – who hit the headlines in 2014 when she walked out of the jungle after just 72 hours because of "health issues" – will take part again.
Made in Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo has also been having meetings with producers as they believe she’ll be the perfect girl to set pulses racing in the camp’s famous waterfall, while Danny Dyer is also said to be close to signing a deal.
A source said recently: "Georgia has been signed up by ITV and will be the jungle’s bikini babe this year. She was a huge hit on ‘Celebs Go Dating’, people fell in love with her, so ‘I’m A Celeb…’ bosses knew she will be sure hit. And ITV has changed its policy on not having reality stars on the show as last year they didn’t have any."
The show’s spin-off ‘Extra Camp’ has also been the hot topic of conversation as it’s had a panel shake-up and last year’s winner Scarlett Moffatt and runner-up Joel Dommett will be hosting alongside reoccurring panellist Joe Swash.
Scarlett, 27, said: "After last year’s Jungle experience which was a dream come true, I can’t believe I’m so lucky to have the dream continue by being part of this amazing show and joining the ITV2 ‘Extra Camp’ team, it’s going to be so much fun."
