Iggy Azaela’s ‘Fancy’ cheerleader outfit has raised more than $2,000 for GLAAD.
The black and white checkered costume – which the 28-year-old rapper wore for her performance with Charli XCX at the Billboard Music Awards 2014 – has been bought in an eBay battle between 107 bids.
The lucky new owner of the ‘REBEL’ outfit paid $2,026 for the special item, and all proceeds from the sale will go to support the LGBT charity.
To make things even more special, the costume itself was hand signed by Iggy herself.
The charitable act comes after the 28-year-old star defiantly hit back at her critics over a series of professional nude snaps she shared on Instagram.
Despite a backlash over the photos – which were shared for clothing label Fashion Nova, and saw her wearing nothing but ankle socks and heels – Iggy has explained they make her "feel more positive".
In a rant on Twitter, she wrote: "Say what you want about me posting pictures on instagram but honestly, it gives me something else creative i can focus on – when sometimes im in a dark place or i feel stagnant. Most days i want my project to drop, yesterday! but i dont get to make those choices.
"and maybe its silly, but it really has been helping me lately to feel more postive and just keep my mind in a creative space constantly thinking of new visual things and color palates. Im really glad ive got something i can do without needing permission.
"because if it were up to me id be releasing songs at the same rate i post pictures. I really care about music and all creative things in my life genuinely. i put my heart into it and i just want to say: thanks for supporting me in anyway genuinely. im grateful. (sic)"
