Ian Wright: I won’t lose cool on I’m A Celebrity

Ian Wright insists he will not lose his cool on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ because he is "older and wiser" nowadays.
The former footballer has landed in Australia ahead of his stint on the ITV reality show, but he dismissed comments from last year’s King of the Jungle, football manager Harry Redknapp, who recently urged the 56-year-old star to keep calm in Oz and claimed he has a "short fuse".
But Ian told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Was Harry doing one of those tours where he’s talking? He’s got to fill it up hasn’t he?
"The thing is, we play golf but I didn’t lose my rag.
"What’s he on about talking about losing my rag? I don’t lose my rag anymore.
"I’m much older and wiser. To be honest, nothing gets me angry anymore. I’ve been looking forward to this for so long."
Ian’s comments come after Harry claimed the ex-Arsenal striker "threw a bit of a wobbler" when they played golf together recently.
He said: "I’d tell him, ‘Keep calm, Wrighty.’ He’s got a short fuse. I played golf with him the other day and he threw a bit of a wobbler with another player.
"You have to bite your tongue in the camp. It’s hard.
"You can get tetchy as there’s nothing to do. It gets boring.
"You can get on each other’s nerves. If anyone gets on Wrighty’s nerves, he’ll tell ’em."
Since hanging up his boots, Ian is now a football pundit on ‘Match of the Day’, and broadcaster Danny Baker believes that unless he wins the programme Ian should go out first because he can have a lovely holiday Down Under.
Danny – who went into the jungle three years ago and was the first to be booted out of the camp – recently said: "If you’re going to come out of the jungle then come out first.
"You’re going to have the time of your life. It’s a sweet gig – and I’ve had some sweet gigs.
"I’ve been to World Cups and had my life story made into films and stuff. The second best ever gig was the jungle – it was tremendous."
