Hulk Hogan is reportedly being lined-up to enter the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house this summer.
The 63-year-old wrestling legend is wanted by Channel 5 bosses to go on the reality TV show and they are offering a mega-money deal to get him on the programme.
Producers have been trying to get him on ‘CBB’ for years with no success but they are hoping Hulk will sign of the dotted line in a bid to improve his reputation which was tarnished by his legal battle with Gawker.
In 2012, Hulk was rocked by the leak of a clip from a sex tape made in 2007 on gossip website Gawker which showed him in bed with Heather Clem, the now ex-wife of his former friend Bubba ‘The Lovesponge’ Clem.
After taking legal action against the website, he lost his contract with WWE in 2015 after a transcript of him using the "N-word" whilst in bed with Heather was released.
The multi-time world champion apologised for his comments insisting they were made at one of the lowest points in his life, a period when Hulk had been suffering from depression in the wake of his wife Linda Hogan filing for divorce and his son Nick being involved in a drag-racing accident while under the influence which left his friend John Graziano brain damaged and requiring 24-hour care.
He eventually was awarded $140 million in damages from Gawker for invasion of privacy and the site was forced to close but he has not been welcomed back to the wrestling company.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Hulk would be a big name for the series. He is known for being opinionated. They think he may go for it this year after previously turning it down because of the battering his reputation took."
Hulk – real name Terry Bollea – shot to fame when he starred opposite Sylvester Stallone in ‘Rocky III’ in 1983 and created the most iconic moment in wrestling history when he body slammed Andre the Giant at ‘WrestleMania III’ in 1987.
The larger-than-life character also had his own reality TV show ‘Hogan Knows’ in which he starred with his ex-wife Linda, his singer daughter Brooke and son Nick.
Hulk – now married to Jennifer McDaniel, who is 20 years his junior – hasn’t competed in a wrestling match for several years due to back and hip injuries but has been campaigning for a final send-off bout.
Back in 2015, the Hulkster admitted if a big money offer was made to him by ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ he’d take it.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Hey, if you want me to be on ‘Big Brother’ tomorrow, I’ll be in there tomorrow if you put $50 million in my bank account! You know what I’m saying, money is always a part of the decision making process."
