Hugh Dennis to star in Invisible

Hugh Dennis has joined the cast of ‘Invisible’.
The former ‘Outnumbered’ star will appear alongside Jason Watkins, Tala Gouveia, Joanna Scanlan, Michele Dotrice, Caroline Catz, Freddie Fox and Kiran Sonia Sawar in the second episode of ITV’s contemporary crime drama, which begins with a pair of two-hour episodes.
‘Invisible’ features a "rumbustious yet effective" partnership between the unlikely duo of ambitious DCI McDonald (Tala) and the shy DS Dodds (Jason).
Hugh’s character is the CEO of a clinic that treats patients with various disorders, but his facility comes under question from McDonald and Dodds when a patient is found dead.
The show, which is filmed on location in Bath, features Joanna as Kelly Mulcreevy, the director of private clinic The Mara Retreat, and Caroline, Freddie, and Michelle will portray patients.
Cast members for the first episode include Robert Lindsay, Ellie Kendrick, Susannah Fielding, Rosalie Craig, and Navin Chowdhry.
The series has been written and created by Richard Murphy, the lead writer on ‘DCI Banks’.
Hugh previously starred as Bank Manager in ‘Fleabag’ in 2016 and again in 2019, and is no stranger to appearing in a crime drama having starred in an episode of ‘Midsomer Murders’ in 2016 entitled ‘The Village That Rose from the Dead’.
As well as his comedy career, he is best known for portraying Peter Brockman in ‘Outnumbered’ from 2007 to 2014, and again in 2016.
