Hozier is desperate to play Glastonbury again – but he doesn’t think it’s on in 2017.
The ‘Take Me To Church’ hitmaker had to miss Michael Eavis’ music extravaganza at Worthy Farm in South West England this year because he was busy with his own touring commitments.
Hozier is desperate to return to the festival after loving every minute of his 2015 set but he believes Michael, 80, is going to give the muddied fields a rest in 2017.
Hozier told the Daily Star newspaper: "I believe it is not happening next year. They are letting the fields recover, that’s what I’ve heard. I’d love to perform sadly I missed it this year."
Away from his concerts, Hozier has written the song ‘Better Love’ for ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ soundtrack.
The 26-year-old singer/songwriter couldn’t turn down the opportunity to work on music for the blockbuster film – which stars Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie – after seeing an early version which simply blew him away.
He previously said: "I was excited about the opportunity and the challenge of writing for this film project. After viewing an early edit, I was struck by the theme of endurance, and endurance of love through such a hostile environment. I wanted the song to be an intimate reassurance as spoken from one lover to another – one that might be issued in hardship or doubt."
