Hollyoaks’ Edward to manipulate Tony as he battles brain tumour

Hollyoaks’ Edward Hutchinson will manipulate son Tony Hutchinson as his boy battles a brain tumour.
The Channel 4 soap dropped its dramatic spring trailer on Monday evening (13.04.20), which saw evil Edward – portrayed by Joe McGann – drugging son Tony (Nick Pickard) just months after sleeping with his wife Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) when Tony was trapped at the pig farm by serial killer Breda McQueen (Moya Brady).
The trailer also saw Sylver McQueen’s (David Tag) daughter Cher (Bethany Hare) rock up in the village and reveal she is the kid he never knew he had, on the day he and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) are to renew their vows.
In other scenes, Juliet Nightingale’s (Niamh Blackshaw) feelings for Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) will intensify in the coming months.
Last night’s (13.04.20) one-hour special on E4 saw her complimenting Peri, but she will get closer to her in the coming weeks as she becomes her shoulder to cry on.
In other ‘Oaks’ news, turbulent exes Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) will share a kiss, leading to him to plead with her not to tell her boyfriend Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward).
What’s more, Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) and Kyle Kelly’s (Adam Rickitt) depression storylines will intensify.
And while Darren is seen seeking help by telling girlfriend Mandy Morgan (Sarah Jayne Dunn) about his issues, Kyle is shut out by fiancée Nancy Osborne (Jess Fox) after he continues to take drugs.
On last night’s ep, Kyle was seen buying cannabis from drug dealer Jordan Price (Connor Calland), and later in the episode he begged for something stronger.
Other ‘Oaks’ goings on will see Richard Blackwood’s alter-ego Felix Westwood smooch Lisa Loveday (Rachel Adedeji), and Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams) and Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) are to get engaged.
