Hollyoaks cast David Tag’s on-screen daughter

‘Hollyoaks’ have cast Bethany Hare as David Tag’s on-screen daughter.
The singer-and-actress will join the Channel 4 soap as Sylver McQueen’s kid he never knew existed, aspiring hairdresser and beautician Cher, after she tracks down her father.
Bethany said: "Everyone’s been so nice. It is like a little family. I was nervous coming in, and everyone has just put me at ease.
"I’m absolutely loving it. I feel like I am learning so much from other cast members every day as well."
Cher will make a surprise appearance as Sylver and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) prepare to renew their vows, and Bethany cannot wait to be a part of the McQueens.
She added: "She definitely has an attitude, but she’s also caring and she’s so big on family, just like the McQueens.
"She’ll always be there for someone. I’m so excited to join the McQueen family."
Cher, who Bethany has described as "very sassy", will make her first appearance in the soap’s spring trailer, which airs on Monday night (13.04.20) on the Channel 4 website.
It comes after Jennifer recently praised David and former ‘Oaks’ star Jude Monk McGowan for being her "little security blankets" since she returned to ‘Hollyoaks’ from maternity leave.
She said: "Since coming back off maternity leave, nearly two years ago, him and David have just been my little security blankets.
"They have always been there for me when I’ve not slept too much.
"They always get me a coffee, or just drag me, and keep me going."
