Anna Passey has "really missed" playing out Sienna Blake’s dark side on ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 34-year-old actress has always hoped her alter-ego would return to her no-nonsense side, despite her trying to "turn over a new leaf", and she is pleased her character is getting back to her best when she confronts evil Laurie Shelby (Kyle Pryor) over his sexual assault next week.
She said: "This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for.
"The audience has been willing the old Sienna to come back and deal with Laurie. I really love how hard Sienna’s been trying to turn over a new leaf – but deep down I always hoped we’d get back to classic Sienna at some point. I’ve really missed playing her."
Anna admits it was "fun" to resurrect "wild Sienna" once again.
She added to Inside Soap magazine: "She confronts Laurie and it all goes very vintage Sienna. He’s tied up in a classroom, and she loses patience with him. We see that wild Sienna we all know well.
"The months of frustration and anger towards him come out at that time. It was fun to play that side of her again."
Anna returned to ‘Hollyoaks’ in September after a short break, during which time her alter-ego was banged up for confessing to the killing of her daughter Nico Blake (Persephone Swales-Dawson) only for her actions to be ruled as self-defence, and the actress later admitted her rest period was "necessary".
She said: "I am thrilled to be back! A break was necessary, but I’m so excited to be back in the thick of it!"
