Holly Willoughby wants to release a Christmas single with Phillip Schofield.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter has admitted she’s not the "best singer" but she’s desperate to persuade his co-host to collaborate on a feel-good track that they could release over the festive season but, so far, he’s not convinced on the idea.
Speaking on the latest episode of ‘Red Stripe presents: This Feeling TV’, the 36-year-old beauty said: "I may not be the best singer but I’d love to do a Christmas single. I’ve actually asked the question many a time.
"I’ve said to him [Phillip] that we should definitely do it but he’s not having any of it. If it were to happy I reckon we could do ‘Deck The Halls’, then it could go: ‘Deck the halls with boughs of HOLLY, la la la la la la la la la.’ "
And, if she does manage to get Phillip on board, the star will have plenty of help to ensure the single is perfect as she’s good friends with The Streets’ Mike Skinner.
She explained: "I love The Streets – Mikey [Skinner] is a genius! I actually appeared in the music video for ‘When You Wasn’t Famous’. The song is about waking up next to somebody, then seeing them on Saturday morning TV looking all squeaky and clean – but we kind of know what they got up to the night before… Before you ask it wasn’t actually written about me, just to clarify that!"
She’s also struck up a friendship with the Stone Roses and will never forget the moment she saw them at Heaton Park in Manchester.
She said: "To be in Manchester at Heaton Park, seeing Stone Roses by the stage… it was amazing. What I remember most from the gig though was that I had pink hip flask that ended up having its own Twitter handle by the end of it. The hip flask even ended up on stage… I think Mani took it on with him."
