Holly Willoughby has admitted it’s "bittersweet" to be hosting ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ alongside Dec Donnelly.
The 37-year-old star will be heading to the jungle later this year after it was revealed Ant McPartlin would be taking more time off from his TV commitments to focus on his recovery following his drink driving arrest and rehab treatment.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, she said: "The weird thing is, when i first found out it’s very exciting, it’s bittersweet but it is exciting.
"Then you sort of figure out the logistics of how you’re gonna go, and how long for, and taking the kids, I was speaking to the school. All of that. And then suddenly that’s all sorted and the logistics done and it’s like… oh, there’s gonna be spiders and stuff there."
Much to her co-star Phillip Schofield’s amusement, Holly also admitted she is scared of a few aspects of life working on the reality show.
She revealed she will struggle with watching the celebrity contestants eating the typical gross dishes fans have come to expect, and added that "the smells" will also cause her some problems.
As Phillip laughed and said he couldn’t wait to see how she’d cope, Holly added: "There’s three things I’m not looking forward to. One is the eating challenges. Even if you were eating chocolate and you opened your mouth to show me what was in there, I wouldn’t like that.
"The fact you’ve eaten some sort of body parts not meant for eating, I can’t. It’s gonna be horrible. The smells, I’m not great with smells. And when they come out and they’ve got stuff stuck on them."
