Helen Flanagan wants to return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 25-year-old actress is desperate to reprise her role as self-absorbed bitch Rosie Webster – a part she played from 2000 until 2012 – in the long-running soap, but she has admitted she won’t be able to talk contracts with bosses until she lines up a nanny for her 11-month-old daughter Matilda, whom she has with footballer Scott Sinclair.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I would absolutely love to go back to ‘Coronation Street’ one day but it would have to work around Matilda."
And it seems Helen won’t have any trouble persuading show boss Kate Oates – who took over the reins earlier this years – to let her return as the producer has made no secret of the fact she wants the brunette beauty to reprise her role for a forthcoming storyline.
A source said recently: "Kate was going on about how excited she was to join the cast and crew in January and saying she couldn’t wait to get her teeth into the show … [she wants a return for] Rosie."
Meanwhile, Helen certainly isn’t short of options this year as it’s believed she’s being lined-up for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ when it returns to screens in the summer.
An insider linked to the Channel 5 show said recently: "Now that her daughter is a little bit older, it would be the perfect time for her to make her return to the world of showbiz."
And she’s certainly no stranger to reality TV as she had viewers in hysterics four years ago when she competed on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ but her stint was short-lived as she became the fifth star to be given the boot after she refused to munch on creepy crawlies.
