Helen Flanagan thought she was having ectopic pregnancy

Helen Flanagan was told she could be suffering from an ectopic pregnancy.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star is currently pregnant with her second child but feared for her own and her unborn baby’s life in the first trimester when doctors told her she could be experiencing the potentially-deadly complication – in which the embryo attaches outside the uterus – after she was plagued with "very bad pains" and severe vomiting.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "At one point the Celtic club medic came to see me and I was getting very bad pains. There was some concern I might be having an ectopic pregnancy, but I’d actually got a water infection. I was very dehydrated – I couldn’t keep anything down because I was being sick all the time.
"I did end up in hospital here in Glasgow. I was there for a good few hours and they put me on a drip. I had some scans, fluids and anti-sickness injections.
"I was so poorly at this point and was prescribed some tablets. I got through my first pregnancy without having to take anything, but the nurses assured me the tablets were safe and the lightest form of medication, and they did work."
And, although she feels blessed to be carrying a healthy baby, the 27-year-old actress doesn’t think she could go through another pregnancy because the hyperemesis – a severe form of morning sickness – was unbearable and she couldn’t cope with it again.
Helen – who also has three-year-old daughter Matilda – said: "Those five weeks of sickness were horrible. I’m just so glad they’re over. I don’t think I’d ever be able do it again. I couldn’t have two young children and have hyperemesis again."
Helen’s fiance Scott Sinclair has admitted the baby news came as somewhat of a surprise because the pair – who have been together since 2009 – weren’t trying.
