Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair have postponed their wedding.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress and her footballer fiance – who have been together for 10 years – got engaged at Disneyland Paris in 2018, but their plans to tie the knot this year have been put on hold for the time being.
Speaking to the Daily Express newspaper, she said: "I know this sounds weird but because we’ve got children and been together for so long, we already feel like we’re married.
"We were going to get married this year but my little sister is getting married next summer, so maybe next year.
"I think it’s just because we’ve been together for so long, we’re just a bit lazy about it. But it would be nice to have the same name."
But the 29-year-old actress – who has daughters Matilda, four, and Delilah, 19 months, with her man – recently revealed she has been trying on wedding dresses, and they have already agreed on some big parts of their special day.
She explained: "We will get married at some point. I’ve tried on wedding dresses, but I’ve just not found one yet.
"I was brought up Catholic, but Scott’s not, so we won’t have a church wedding.
"And it wouldn’t be a wedding abroad – I don’t like the heat. A wedding in the sun is not me!"
Helen has also opened up on a potential ‘Corrie’ comeback, and while she confirmed a cobbles return is "definitely" on the cards, it’s now a case of finding the right time for all parties.
The Rosie Webster actress – who first appeared on the ITV soap back in 2000 – previously said: "I love ‘Coronation Street’. I’ll definitely return at some point, but I’m just trying to work out when will be best.
"I feel like I’m finally getting myself back a bit. I’m having a social life again – finding time for me, things like that."
