Helen Chamberlain leaves Soccer AM

Helen Chamberlain has left ‘Soccer AM’.
The 50-year-old television presenter starred on the Saturday morning sports programme – which is broadcast on Sky Sports – for a whopping 22 years, but it has now been announced she will be leaving the show when it revamps for the upcoming season.
Helen became synonymous with the match-day show when she began presenting it in 1995 alongside former host Tim Lovejoy, who left the team in 2007 and was replaced by a series of co-hosts including Andy Goldstein, Max Rushden, and current co-host John Fendley.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, ‘Soccer AM’s upcoming revamp will see rising star comedian Lloyd Griffith and former Hull and Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard – who also appeared on the 2014 series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – take to the sofa alongside John.
During the show’s extensive history, a number of changes have been made the shows format, including its running time. When Helen began on the show, the programme would air for a lengthy four hours, and the air time has been shortened throughout the years to its current 90 minute show.
Things might not go so smoothly for the new line-up though, as 38-year-old Jimmy previously admitted he "can’t read" an autocue so will have to speak off the cuff.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz in 2015 about his show ‘Jimmy Bullard Kicks Off’, he said: "In the practice and pilots, I tried doing the autocue and it wasn’t me. It was too wooden. I can’t read it properly. In my last one, I had a meltdown, I had a massive meltdown. We had a meeting and I just said, ‘Look, I can’t do this.’ So I’m just going to be myself – my random self and I’m going to enjoy it."
