Harry Redknapp pulled out of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 71-year-old former football manager has revealed that he was due to take part in the current season of the BBC One dance show but he opted not to compete because he is a terrible dancer.
He told MailOnline: "I thought maybe I could do ‘Strictly’, but I couldn’t have danced really. I am not a dancer. The show always has a contestant there for fun, but [I didn’t want to be] the one that was ‘laughed at."
However, he laughed at the idea of the ‘Strictly’ curse affecting his marriage, saying: "For me? Are you kidding me? For one thing, I wouldn’t want to run off with any other woman in the whole world, that is for sure.
"And, secondly, there’s not a woman in Strictly [the dancers], who would ever want to run off with me. That is for sure. That’s never going to happen."
Harry has signed up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ instead but is worried about being away from his beloved wife Sandra.
He said: "I’ve never really been out of contact with my wife ever – since we were 17 years old. It’s going to be difficult. You’ve just got to find someone you love. I just love being with my wife. I love every day with her. I just absolutely love being with her, and I’m not embarrassed to say that."
Harry will join TV presenter Noel Edmonds, former ‘Torchwood’ actor John Barrowman, ‘Coronation Street’ star Sair Khan, former ‘EastEnders’ star Rita Simons, ex-‘X Factor’ wannabe Fleur East, The Vamps singer James McVey, TV presenter Nick Knowles, ‘Hollyoaks’ actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, ‘The Chase’ quiz queen Anne Hegerty, and ‘Inbetweeners’ actress Emily Atack in the jungle.
