Harry Hill gets new panel show on ITV

Harry Hill has landed a new panel show on ITV.
The 51-year-old comedian – who left the broadcaster in 2012 following a bust-up over his long-running programme ‘TV Burp’ – has agreed to return to the channel next year for his new gig ‘Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule’, which will see two teams attempt to save the planet from alien invasion.
He said of his new programme: "It’s great to be back on ITV with an all new format that finally tackles the problem of an imminent and prolonged war with space aliens, by proving to them that us humans are really a lot of fun to hang out with!"
The funnyman has been working on the panel show since early last year and a series of live gigs have even taken place to test the programme’s format over the past 18 months.
Saskia Schuster, ITV’s comedy commissioning editor, explained: ~We’re really excited to have Harry back on ITV, and we’re confident that the human race will be safe in his hands with this brand new panel show packed with laughs, silliness and of course, fun."
Harry turned his back on ITV four years ago when he told bosses he wanted to quit his comedy show ‘TV Burp’ after 11 years of fronting it but the broadcaster reportedly wasn’t so keen on his decision and they fell out of their differences.
He then attempted to revive ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ on the channel last year but it collapsed when it failed to pull in viewers.
