Halsey has hit back at a fan who slammed her for posing for Playboy magazine.
The 22-year-old singer shared a picture of the Playboy cover – which features her in a pink vest top – and her Flaunt magazine cover, in which she dons just a bra, and captioned it "Not-so-covered cover girl."
However, one fan was outraged that feminist Halsey would pose for a magazine like Playboy, which is renowned for its nude pictorials and wrote: "You are a feminist but you flash your boobs in Playboy magazine," along with a perplexed face emoji.
However, Halsey was quick to fire back, explaining that she can be both a feminist and a Playboy cover girl.
Halsey wrote: "Yeah it’s crazy. I can show my t**s in Playboy, perform at the Nobel Peace, speak at the Planned Parenthood Gala with Hillary Clinton, shake my ass on 300 stages, give a speech at the United Nations, do 150 shots of tequila, get a #1 album, and march in the streets of DC all in just ONE year!
"Newsflash. A woman can be multi dimensional #WeAreNotJustOneThing (sic)."
Sharing her own response in a separate Instagram post, she captioned it: "Just so we’re clear."
In the Playboy interview, Halsey spoke about how she believes "society is inclined to get negative" in today’s climate, and thinks people are "picking the wrong fight" by hurling negativity toward her.
She said: "When a society is inclined to get negative, that frequency spreads across everyone. Everyone’s looking for a fight. There is a fight to fight, but some people are picking the wrong one and fighting people who are on their side. And everyone has become a detective."
