No Doubt were on of the biggest female grunge acts of the 90s but that didn’t stop frontwoman Gwen Stefani wanting to do her own thing.
Who would’ve thought she would have an album featuring the likes of producer Tom Rothrock, songwriter Linda Perry, Andrew 3000 and New Order on her debut solo effort 2004’s ‘Love. Angel. Music. Baby.’
The ‘Just a Girl’ hitmaker decided to explore pop music further in a bid ‘to convince the world of [her] talent, depth and artistic worth’.
Some of the biggest songs of her solo career are ‘Let Me Blow Ya Mind’ with Lil’ Kim and during her fascination with Japanese culture, she released bangers ‘Harajuku Girls’ and ‘What You Waiting For?’
Her last solo album was 2016’s ‘This Is What the Truth Feels Like’, which charted at number one in the US.
