Gregg Wallace fell in love with his wife after she tweeted about his duck and rhubarb dish.
The 52-year-old ‘MasterChef’ co-presenter – who married Anne-Marie Sterpini at Hever Castle in Kent earlier this year – has credited Twitter as a "dating site" and has admitted his partner grabbed his attention when she publicly complemented him on the social media site in 2013.
Speaking about how he and his spouse met on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (29.11.16), the culinary mastermind said: "When I was single, Twitter for me was like going fishing, what I found is it’s not a dating site, you can chat to people. Anna my beautiful wife – I’m very fortunate I’ve been with her for four years – and she just asked me about duck and rhubarb, which is a dish I cooked for the telly and I looked at her picture and said ‘Oh my word you’re a pretty girl."
And the former greengrocer – who has son Tom and daughter Libby from his previous marriage to his second wife Denise – has admitted he and his current spouse enjoy getting busy in the kitchen together, although he has credited her as the "best home cook".
Speaking about his other half, who is 21 years his younger, he said: "Mrs Wallace is very shy but she is the best home cook. We like to cook together, put on the music and open a bottle of wine. Her family is Italian and she is an amazing cook and presenter, unlike you [Janet]."
Meanwhile, Gregg has revealed he’s desperate to start a little brood with Anna.
Speaking previously about his family plans, he said: "Meeting Anna has brought me what I think I’ve always been searching for – that big, warm family dynamic and there’s real strength in that.
"Anna was clear from the start of our relationship that she wants children and it won’t be long at all before that happens."
