Greg Rutherford feared he wouldn’t be able to have any more children are suffering an unfortunate mishap on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Olympic gold medal-winning star was learning a new dance routine with his professional partner Natalie Lowe when an extreme lift attempt left Greg writhing in agony on the floor.
He recalled: "We’ve actually had to adapt our jive because we wanted to do a really extreme jump into a lift. It was epic.
"But then during rehearsals, Nat missed the position and as she grabbed me, she ripped her nail off, which bled everywhere."
The 29-year-old father-of-one revealed that things got even worse when they tried to complete the move for a second time.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "Then we tried again and we lost it. I fell to the floor and couldn’t move. I feared I’d never have children again it was that bad."
The athlete – who competed at the Rio Olympics over the summer – admitted he is not the most naturally talented dancer, but has pledged to do his best in an effort to win the show.
Greg said: "I don’t think I’m the best dancer by any stretch of the imagination, but I think I can work harder than anybody else in this competition."
