Gladys Knight adds SECOND Royal Albert Hall concert to farewell tour

Gladys Knight has added a second concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall to her farewell tour, due to overwhelming public demand.

The soul legend will now play the iconic venue on June 28 as well as the sold-out gig on June 27.

A second date was already added in Southend at the Cliffs Pavilion on July 4 and shows at Eastbourne Congress on July 6, and the Bristol Beacon on July 8.

The goodbye trip also includes dates in Glasgow, Birmingham, Swansea, Bournemouth, and Nottingham.

She’s expected to play all her classics during her farewell tour including standout Motown gem ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’, which was voted one of Rolling Stone’s greatest songs of all time.

Gladys is also set to play new material from her latest album ‘Where My Heart Belongs’.

The 79-year-old ‘Empress of Soul’ – who began her career in the 1950s performing with The Pips and went on to produce an iconic songbook including hits ‘Help Me Make it Through the Night’, James Bond theme ‘Licence to Kill’ and ‘The Way We Were’ – is launching her shows on June 24 in Glasgow, Scotland.

The icon will be joined by guest Mica Miller, one of the UK’s most critically acclaimed modern soul stars.

Few singers over the last 50 years have matched Gladys’ artistry, with the seven-time Grammy winner landing No1 hits in genres from pop and R’n’B to gospel.

The new show will go on-sale on Friday (16.02.24) via ticketline.co.uk, ticketmaster.co.uk or direct from the venue. All other dates are on-sale now.
