Ginuwine became the fifth housemate to be evicted from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ last night (23.01.18).
The 47-year-old singer got the boot from the show after receiving the fewest votes from the public while up against Jonny Mitchell, Ann Widdecombe, Wayne Sleep and Daniel O’Reilly, and he admitted he is keen to meet up with his ‘CBB’ flame Ashley James in the US when the series is over.
Speaking about his so-called showmance to host Emma Willis, he said: "I think it was what it was on the show and I’m wanting to see what it will be after. It was definitely a genuine connection. No pun intended. I’m definitely going to talk to her after she gets out.
"We’re definitely going to hook up when she comes over [to the US]."
The father-of-nine also revealed the pair exchanged friendship rings, leading Emma to joke about whether she should "buy a hat" ahead of a potential marriage.
He added: "We really clicked and in a place like that. This is foreign territory going in a house like that full of strangers."
The ‘Pony’ hitmaker – who was nominated three times ahead of his eviction – thanked ‘CBB’ fans for their support and admitted he had a "great time" on the programme.
He said: "I had a wonderful time. It was something that I never expected, even to get this far. I really had a great time. I just wanted to thank everyone. It’s much love to everybody, no love lost."
Following Ginuwine’s eviction, Ashley was seen sobbing in the Diary Room and admitted she will "miss" the singer.
She said: "I don’t really get upset because I know that he’s absolutely fine. But it’s just I’ve lost my friend in here. I don’t want to lose him.
"Even Ann said she’s lost her prayer buddy.
"It was just quite nice to have that person that I cared for and even though I was so adamant that I didn’t want any form of emotional relationship in the house.
"Somehow it happened, and so it’s just a bit weird. But yeah, I am going to miss him."
Ashley is a 100/1 outsider to win this year’s ‘CBB’ with online bookmaker Betfair, but fellow female Ann is the hot 6/4 favourite to take the crown in the series’ Year of the Woman.
Courtney Act is 5/2 second favourite followed by Shane Lynch at 13/5, with Amanda Barrie and Jess Impiazzi 10/1 and 20/1 respectively.
