Geri Horner invited the ‘All Together Now’ winner Michael Rice round to her house for tea.
The former Spice Girls singer and presenter on the BBC One singing competition – which saw the Hartlepool busker emerge victorious during the first series earlier this year – had promised to treat the victor to afternoon tea at her London mansion – and she made sure she stayed true to her word as he was round there just three months after his big moment.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "Geri made a real effort and waited for a time when she could give Michael her undivided attention.
"She really believes in his talent and gave him loads of advice about the music industry and future plans for his career. Michael was really chuffed."
Applications are currently open for the second series of the talent show, with an impressive prize fund of £50,000 up for grabs for the winner.
Meanwhile, since she married Red Bull Racing’s Team Principle Christian Horner, the 45-year-old singer has become addicted to watching the motor sport and made bosses come up with a way so that she could still do ‘All Together Now’ while listening to the Formula 1.
A source said recently: "Geri has become hooked on F1 since getting with Christian. Bosses had to come up with a solution so she could keep up with his racing without having to hold up filming. It’s amazing she managed to concentrate on both."
‘All Together Now’ sees contestants perform in front of a panel of 100 music experts and performers – lead by Geri – as they aim to impress them with their vocals.
If the panel enjoy the performance, they hit their golden buzzer and join in – and the contestant with the most gold lights on at the end goes through to the final.
