Georgia Steel would ‘love to still be on screen’

Georgia Steel wants to be in the "industry for the long run."
The 20-year-old reality star has revealed that she would "love to still be on screen" following her stint on the ITV2 series ‘Love Island’ – where she met boyfriend Sam Bird – however she is being particular about which opportunities she chooses.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Intent 2 premiere, in Leicester Square, London, she said: "Obviously I would love to still be on the screen, I really, really would. I’ve got clothing deals coming up and I’m kind of being picky with where I wanna go to be honest with you.
"I need to really think about what I want to do because I do really wanna be in the industry for the long run now.
"I went to acting school so I’ve always got acting as well to go down that path but at the moment I’m just wanting to take all the opportunities I can and let’s just see what happens really but maybe acting later down the line, we’ll see."
The brunette beauty admitted that although her relationship with and Sam, 25 has gone brilliantly since leaving the show, the pair still want their own professional identities and they’ve only been seeing each other once a week.
She added: "We’re so happy with the relationship, we’ve obviously got our flat in Essex, everything’s going really smoothly.
"We’re really happy but we also want our own identity within the industry, I think that’s a really important thing to have because then it doesn’t put pressure on the relationship."
"I think it sometimes it’s a lazy thing to say ‘Oh work’s too much, we’re getting too much involved’ because if you really care about the person you’ll make it work.
"Even if it means seeing them once a week like with Sam at the moment I’m seeing him once a week but that once a week we make the most of it."
