Georgia Kousoulou blasts TOWIE stars for snubbing reunion series

Georgia Kousoulou has hit out at original cast members of ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ for snubbing the 10th anniversary reunion series.

The 29-year-old TV star believes some of the first stars on the show ought to make themselves available for the much-anticipated series, having used the programme to help launch their own careers.

Georgia said: "I think it is bad that some of the original cast decided not to do the anniversary special. I think everyone should have done it."

The star suggested that former cast members should be more appreciative of what the series did for their TV careers, and she accused some of the show’s big names of yesteryear of forgetting their roots.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Georgia explained: "’TOWIE’ made you, so I think everyone should have done it to show respect to the show that made you.

"Even if you don’t want to film new episodes for the 10th anniversary series, the least you can do is the reunion show. ‘TOWIE’ has given you the life you have now.

"I don’t think you should ever forget where you come from and I think it is a shame that some of the cast have."

Despite this, Georgia admitted she doesn’t actually know who will appear during the reunion series.

She said: "I still don’t know who is coming back for the actual series as things keep changing.

"I would love Danielle, Lydia and Chloe Lewis to come back for a few eps. It would be like the old times, apart from they all have babies now."

The hit show helped to launch the careers of stars like Mark Wright and Lucy Mecklenburgh.

However, they have apparently snubbed the chance to appear in the reunion series, with Mark feeling he’s "moved on", while Lucy is busy caring for her six-month-old son Roman.
