Geordie Shore stars banned from filming in US

‘Geordie Shore’ bosses have been forced to ditch plans to film a series in the US.

Show chiefs have been forced to pull plans to film across the pond over fears that many of the stars of the reality TV show will be unable to get visas due to past arrests and criminal convictions.

Vicky Pattison, 25, Charlotte Crosby, 23, Gary Beadle, 25 and Holly Hagan, 22, have all had run-ins with the law over alleged assaults, while Marnie Simpson, 21, received a community service order following a crash-for-cash insurance scam, meaning they might not meet the US’s strict visa requirements.

Producers of the MTV series – which is based on the US reality TV show ‘Jersey Shore’ – had planned to film in America following on from the success of series set in Australia and Mexico.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Geordie Shore has had huge success with series in Australia and Cancun and bosses wanted to do the same in the US.

"But there is just no way all of the cast would have got visas, so it is back to Newcastle for now."

The show, now in its eighth series, is renowned for its cast member’s outrageous antics – who are often seen getting into boozy fights and having sex on-screen.
