Gemma Collins thinks James ‘Arg’ Argent’s mum put a "strain" on their relationship.
The 39-year-old reality TV star recently split from Arg and has now revealed she’s also pleased that his mum Patricia is no longer a prominent figure in her life.
Speaking on ‘The Gemma Collins Love Lounge’ podcast, she admitted: "I’ve always got on really well with my partner’s families. There was a problem with the last one because she’d always come knocking at the house and we never had time alone.
"That I found a little bit difficult. Like, every day down the house. I feel it did put a strain on our relationship."
Despite this, Gemma insisted there’s no lingering bad blood, insisting she actually "really liked them as a family".
Meanwhile, Gemma recently revealed she suffered a miscarriage during lockdown.
Speaking about her lockdown experience, the reality star – who suffers with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) – shared: "It was really difficult for me in isolation because, as you know, with my condition of PCOS, it’s not easy to fall pregnant and I did suffer a miscarriage, which was really sad during the lockdown period…
"I have suffered with it for the last 10 years. I started to gain weight when I was 28, my periods were all over the place. I’ve suffered miscarriages.
"I did go through a very sad miscarriage in lockdown."
Gemma – who is still determined to have children one day – went to see a specialist, and has already made some changes to her lifestyle.
She explained: "He said to me, ‘You’ve got no cysts on your ovaries anymore, that’s cleared up. So, we’re winning. You do suffer from the syndrome so you do get the symptoms that go with it.
"’But your cervix and everything is perfect for when you’re ready. However, you need to get your weight down, you need to get at least another two stone off.’"
