Gemma Collins: Loose Women is ‘bland and boring’

Gemma Collins has slammed ‘Loose Women’ as "bland and boring", and says she will "never" appear on the show again.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star insists the panellists were "rude" to her during her latest appearance on the programme in June – during which she was promoting her book, but admitted she hadn’t put pen to paper herself – and she has called for the programme to be given a "shake up" after she was "annihilated" as a guest.
When asked if she could ever see herself as a ‘Loose Women’ panellist, she said: "Never. Never ever. Never ever in a million years.
"I am the GC, I find the show needs shaking up. The last time I was on the show, I was invited on and the women were quite rude to me. I was going through quite a difficult time. They invited me on the show and basically annihilated me. Not for me. I will never go on ‘Loose Women’ ever again.
"I think it’s bland, it’s boring, it needs shaking up. I wouldn’t give them the pleasure of having me now – never again. If I was hosting a show, I think there is a way of asking questions."
Gemma has claimed a number of guests have been "very upset" after appearing on the show.
She said: "Everyone more or less that I know, goes on it and comes off very upset.
"It’s basically one person against four women. ‘Loose Women’ will never get me."
With the possibility of Gemma being a ‘Loose Women’ panellist firmly shot down, the 37-year-old reality star has hinted she will devise a chat show of her own.
She added to Digital Spy: "Everyone says I should do a chat show. I am a very creative person. You know James Corden – I’m like a version of him but in a girl.
"I’ve moved on from ‘Loose Women’, it’s not where I want to be. There’s much more exciting things happening for me."
During Gemma’s ‘Loose Women’ appearance in June, panellist Janet Street-Porter asked her if she had written her book, ‘How To Be A Diva’.
She replied: "Well, I didn’t sit there writing it, no. I got offered to do a book, and they said to me, ‘Gem, you’re so busy, how about we get someone to walk around with you with a dictaphone?’. And that’s how we did it.
"Obviously over the years I’ve had some mad moments, but this book is very tongue in cheek. It’s a fun fab read."
