Geena Davis’ husband has filed for divorce.
The ‘Thelma & Louise’ star has split from Reza Jarrahy after 16 years of marriage and he submitted paperwork to officially end their 16-year union on Tuesday (08.05.18), though the documents revealed they actually went their separate ways on November 15, 2017.
According to the paperwork, Reza, 47, cited irreconcilable differences in his filing and is seeking joint legal and physical custody of his and Geena’s three children, 16-year-old daughter Alizeh and 13-year-old twin sons, Kaiis and Kian.
He is also asking for spousal support and for the court to terminate the ability to award support to Geena, 62.
The documents were filed under the anonymous aliases Rob Doe and Veronica Doe.
The ‘League of Their Own’ actress has previously been married three times before.
She was wed to Richard Emmolo from 1982 to 1983 and tied the knot with actor Jeff Goldblum in 1987, but their union came to an end just three years later.
In 1993, she married director Renny Harlin but they divorced in 1998.
Geena previously admitted she felt differently going into her fourth marriage than her previous three.
She has said: "I did say to Reza, ‘You’re about to become someone’s fourth husband. What on earth are you thinking?’ But as for myself, I wasn’t nervous at all. I really did feel that I had turned a corner, that I had pulled off changes that were real and permanent. And it was exciting to know I was marrying someone who I can be cranky or selfish in front of and he doesn’t run screaming from the room or judge me for it. It’s like I discovered a whole other way to live."
