Gaz Beadle: Having kids made my relationship ‘stronger’

Gaz Beadle says having children has made his romance with Emma McVey "stronger" than ever.
The ‘Geordie OGs’ star has Chester, two, and three-month-old Primrose with his fiancée Emma, and has said that although parenthood has been "really hard", the process has brought him closer to Emma than ever before.
He said: "The last three or four months it’s been so hard to even think about the wedding.
"Having kids is a massive test. I think it’s important to have kids before you get married because getting married is easy, it’s just a label.
"You hear a lot of people break up in the year after having kids. You’re sleep deprived and it’s totally brand new, it’s really hard.
"But if anything it’s made us stronger."
The couple previously postponed their wedding as their daughter Primrose has been in and out of hospital since she was born in December, after suffering from stomach issues.
But now the tot is fully recovered, Gaz has said he and Emma are thinking about tying the knot in 2022.
He added: "We want to get married abroad, we know that. Haven’t got a clue where though because we’ve been so busy we haven’t even thought where yet.
"We’d have to wait until Primrose was about two and a half, I don’t want a baby at the wedding. I want them to be talking and know what’s going on."
Before having kids, 31-year-old Gaz was known for his partying ways, but has said he’s given up that lifestyle in favour of being a "hands-on dad".
Speaking to The Sun Online’s Big Interview, the former ‘Geordie Shore’ star said: "I’m a pretty hands-on dad.
"I’m home all the time because I work from there so I’m here for them all the time.
"Me and Emma take turns to do overnight feeds. I know how hard it is for people who have kids full-time because I see it.
"I’m not going to sit back and make Emma do everything. That’s not fair. It’s nice we both juggle. You’ve got to be a good team to make it work.
"One of the hardest things about this new chapter is that life has always been about me.
"From me to go from that to third in line now, is such a difference. It is hard, but you’ve got to have someone really good with you.
"If we can get through two kids and juggle that, then we’re a good team."
