Gavin Rossdale respects Gwen Stefani

Gavin Rossdale "would never" speak ill of ex-wife Gwen Stefani.
The Bush frontman admits his split from the ‘Voice’ coach, with whom he has three sons, Kingston, 10, Zuma, eight, and Apollo, two, in August 2015 after 13 years of marriage inspired much his band’s forthcoming album, ‘Black and White Rainbows," but there is no drama between them.
He said: "[Respecting Gwen] comes real natural to me. She’s amazing, so why would I think anything less?
"It [the divorce] obviously informs the record. It’s hard to separate yourself from the most monumental thing that happens in your life if you’re an artist."
Asked what he appreciates most about the No Doubt hitmaker, he added: "Just how much she loves [the kids].
"We both have the same interest at heart. [Our kids’] happiness. It’s really simple."
The 51-year-old singer decided not to include some of first songs he wrote immediately after their split on the album because they are too personal.
He told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "There were certain songs that weren’t right. They were written for me to write, in the purest sense. Just to write to kind of escape my life a little bit or to understand it."
But Gavin enjoys sharing his feelings with his fans, "whether it’s personal, whether it’s going through my divorce, whether it’s seeing these images on the TV of these people or feeling the effects of global warming."
He added: "I just tried to be mindful of having elements of my own life and then elements of things going on around us. Because you can’t be so self-absorbed that you just write stuff about yourself."
