Gavin Rossdale is too ‘softly spoken’ for The Voice

Gavin Rossdale is having trouble getting acts on ‘The Voice UK’ to join his team because he’s too "softly spoken", according to his daughter Daisy Lowe.
The 51-year-old musician has been struggling to convince acts to join his team on the ITV talent show in recent weeks, and his daughter, 27-year-old model Daisy, believes the problem lies in the fact that "no one can hear him".
Daisy – who recently competed in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – said: "He’s such a brilliant man, he’s quite softly spoken so he said [the show bosses] kept telling him that no one could hear him."
Last weekend’s episode of the singing competition saw the Bush frontman press his button to express an interest in a number of hopeful acts, but many of them were swayed by pitches made by one of the other judges – Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, and will.i.am – and chose to pass on Gavin’s offer.
However, despite his struggle in securing his team, Daisy believes the ‘Love Remains the Same’ hitmaker will "bring out the best" in his acts later in the competition.
She told The Sun newspaper: "But he likes to be the calm one, he’s very nurturing and I think on that show he’s going to bring out the best in his team."
"I can’t wait to get down to the live shows to support him.
"I think people are going to see a different side to him."
Meanwhile, the ‘Adrenaline’ singer recently revealed seeing contestants through the competition and realising their dreams gives him the biggest satisfaction.
He said: "What takes you by surprise is when you meet the contestants who dream of being singers and getting on the show is the biggest thing that’s happened to them.
"It ceases to be about you, it becomes about the process of watching the singer’s blossom.
"When you give your life to music and then you get the chance to give back to people who are coming up, it’s a luxury."
