Gal Gadot "understands" complaints she isn’t "busty" enough to play Wonder Woman.
The 30-year-old actress admits she isn’t as curvy as fans expect from the comic book heroine – who she first appears as in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ – but insists she would have had to look completely different if the movies had stayed true to the original story.
She told talk show host Conan O’Brien of the criticism: "I completely understand that. And if you want to be original to the story, the Amazons only have one breast because it was in the way with the archery, the arrow."
Gal recently joked that she is so focused on her role as Diana Prince and Wonder Woman in the new film and its various spin-offs that she sometimes forgets who she is as a person.
She quipped: "I’m going through a minor identity crisis. I say my name is Diana but it’s great."
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old star previously revealed she never considered becoming an actress and was training to be a lawyer.
She shared: "[After the army] I started studying law at university. While I was there, a casting director for ‘Quantum of Solace’ saw my modeling card on my agency’s wall, and I auditioned to be a Bond Girl.
"If things had gone according to my plans, I’d be a lawyer. I never dreamed of being an actress. At 18, I was approached to compete in Miss Israel. I thought, that would be a nice experience. I never thought I would win! I was shocked when they crowned me; when I went to Miss Universe, I rebelled."
