Gail Porter is ready to support Janice Dickinson in her cancer battle

Gail Porter is ready to offer her friend Janice Dickinson hair loss advice as she starts her treatment for breast cancer.
The 45-year-old television presenter has lived with alopecia since 2005, and chose to embrace her baldness to raise awareness of the condition rather than hide it with wigs.
Gail appeared on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in the summer of 2015 with Janice, 61, and was upset to learn she has been diagnosed with the illness after discovering a lump in her right breast.
If the ‘America’s Next Top Model’ judge loses her locks due to her treatment, Gail is ready to support her.
Speaking to The Sun Online about Janice’s diagnosis, Gail said: "If she wants to talk to me about hair I can talk about hair all day long.
"I think Janice will probably have the best wigs in the world. I don’t think Janice would do the bald look. She’s going to be glamorous all the time. I don’t think she’ll do a Gail Porter. I don’t see her hanging out with me looking like we’re in ‘Star Trek’ together.
"Hair is the least of her worries and she’s a very beautiful person, obviously. Whatever she does, she’ll do it well. I think she’s a very strong character and if anyone’s going to fight it, Janice will."
Gail lost her mother to lung cancer at the age of 60 in 2009 and knows have devastating the disease can be.
Her mum lost her hair as she battled cancer and the former model admits she found it difficult to deal with.
Gail recalled: "My mum lost her hair and she found it extremely difficult. Some people find it more difficult when you lose your hair as opposed to being ill, whereas I’m like, ‘Whatever.’ I save money on hairdressers and I’m in the shower for just three minutes."
Janice announced she has breast cancer on Monday (28.03.16) revealing a mammogram and biopsy had discovered she has a common form of the disease known as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).
The outspoken star – whose mother was killed by cancer – told Daily Mail Online: "Just two weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer … It’s still quite shocking … I’m very scared. But I am not gonna let that define me, the fear. I’m going to get through this. Don’t feel sorry for me, this is not a pity party, I’m Janice Dickinson and I’m gonna stick around for a long, long time, you ain’t getting rid of me yet."
