Freema Agyeman wants Doctor Who role back

Freema Agyeman wants to reprise her ‘Doctor Who’ role as Martha Jones.
The 40-year-old actress – who appeared in the show alongside David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor from 2007 to 2010’s ‘The End of Time’ – admitted she has spoken with Big Finish, a company which produces audio plays featuring characters from the series, a number of times about returning to voice her alter ego but it hasn’t worked out yet.
However, Freema is hopeful that she’ll be able to record something soon.
She told Digital Spy: "Big Finish are brilliant and the stuff they do really fills the timeline gaps for the fandom.
"I have been asked by them a couple of times but timing wise it hasn’t worked out – I think there might be something coming up soon but I can’t say what."
Later this year, Big Finish will release the four-part ‘Rose Tyler: The Dimension Cannon’, which will see Billie Piper reprise the titular role – which she played from 2005 to 2006 and again in 2008, 2010 and 2013 – to explore what happened from when her alter ego got trapped into an alternate universe in the series two finale ‘Doomsday’ to when she returned in series four.
The production will explore the character’s "journey through dying parallel worlds" and will feature Rose and her family and "capture and showcase the beautifully rich human characters of Doctor Who".
Billie isn’t the only familiar face to be returning, as Camille Coduri and Shaun Dingwall will reprise their roles as Rose’s parents Jackie and Pete, and Mark Benton is back as alien investigator Clive Finch, despite his show death in 2005.
